There are barely words to describe Meniscus. My boyfriend named her Meniscus because she was blue like water. Silly but the name fit her perfectly. She was my most special friend, and my heart rat. Meniscus was simply the most loving rat I have had and she didnt discriminate who that love went out to. Whether it was me, Matt, the other rats, or even my bull terrier. She just loved everyone.
Meniscus, was the start of it all. I have her to thank for my love of rats. She was one of my first two rats and came from Roo Bear in Maryland. I loved everything about her from the start. Her color, coat and silly ears. From there it developed into pure love as I got to know this wonderful little creature.
I almost lost Meniscus at the age of 10 months during a severly complicated delivery. She lost many pups that day save for three and almost lost her life. Meniscus was a wonderful mother. When she was still weak, and barley able to move, Meniscus took her pups and nursed them. She mustve sensed that the serrogate mother I had to bring in was not nursing them. I am glad I didnt loose the opportunity that horrible night to get to know my friend better.
Meniscus truly changed me and I can't describe the pain it was to loose her. Meniscus passed at two years five months after a good long life. It will never make me stop missing her, or numb the pain of her loss. You were a great friend Meniscus. I'll see you again someday.
Meniscus is also missed by her good friend, Morgandy.....
